This week is spirit week, and we have some activities planned to celebrate homecoming.
Monday Anything but a book bag. Be creative with how you bring your items to school. Or you can have team jersey day! If you want to kick it up, then do both!
Tuesday Hero, villain, or favorite character day
Wednesday Music genre day Come dressed as your favorite musical artist.
Thursday is Generation day; 12th-grade dresses as senior citizens, 11th-grade dresses as middle age, 10th-grade dresses as college students, and 9th-grade dresses as small kids.
Friday is blackout day/school spirit day. Students dressing for the game wear all black on Friday, or you can wear your WCECHS school colors.
Each day this week, pictures of the best dressed will be taken, and students will be recognized. We will recognize the most spirited of the week on Friday at our 2:40 gathering. Also, on Friday morning, we will have a senior breakfast. Details regarding time and location will be coming soon.
Please remember that we want you to have a great week, but you must adhere to the WCS dress code. Also, no masks or non-medical face coverings are allowed. If I feel your dress is inappropriate for school, you will be allowed to change clothes before a parent is called to bring you a change of clothes. Keep it fun and clean, and we will have a great week!
Now for your weekly update:
Tuesday 10/11 We will leave WCECHS at 2:00 pm to travel to BCCC for their first open house! If you are going on this trip and want to be picked up at WCHS, please email Ms. Perry on Monday.
Wednesday is our activity day schedule, with our career fair held in the band room in the afternoon. Also, BCCC Spanish Students may attend tutoring in Mr. Rojas' room at WCHS. If you need help with your College Spanish, he has graciously agreed to help you get better. Tutoring will run from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm. Mr. Rojas' room is located across the walkway from Sgt. Major Arnold's classroom.
Thursday is an early release day, with school dismissing at 12:30. Report card pick up will be from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the school.
Friday 10/14 BCCC students, this is a teacher workday for you. High school students had theirs last week, so college students get one this week. The BCCC bus will not be running, so enjoy your day. High school students, this is a regular day running on our regular schedule.
Remember Monday, 10/17; we will host our community night at WCECHS. Please come out for a lot of information and learn how to be a WCECHS Wolf Backer! CES parents and community members are also invited to attend. Please pass the word that everyone attending will receive a raffle ticket. I will be calling out 15 winners of Food Lion gift cards! Students can stay after school to earn community service hours, and we will have a hot dog dinner for early college students before the meeting. That is it for your weekly update and let's have another great week!
