Students, Families, Staff and Community Stakeholders! I am Principal Gallop, at Creswell Elementary School with a few announcements for the week of May 15 - May 19, 2023.
Character Education Trait for this week is Good Citizenship. Being a good citizen means treating everyone with respect no matter who they are or where they come from.
CONGRATULATIONS to all of our Students who participated in the UNIFIED CHAMPIONS SCHOOLS FIELD DAY! EVERYONE DID WELL!
HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY to all mothers and mother figures! We appreciate you for all that you do for children.
May 15, 2023 - May 25, 2023 - Students in Grades Kindergarten through 3rd will take the mClass Dibels 8 Assessment. Parents and Guardians be sure that these students get a good night's rest prior to the testing dates and have them in school and ready for the assessments.
Tuesday, May 16, 2023 - 5:30 pm - EOG Night (3rd -5th) - Students and parents are invited to their classrooms to discuss EOG specifics, strategies and practice questions.
Also, AGAPE SCHOOL BASED HEALTH SERVICES will be on campus for the people who signed up for services.
MAKO Medical will continue to come on campus on Wednesdays for COVID Testing. There is still time to sign up if you need this service.
Friday, May 19, 2023 - 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm - CES will host “A NIGHT TO REMEMBER” FAMILY NIGHT. Come out and let’s have a night of fun and fellowship.
Students, as we are preparing to take the EOG End of Grade Assessments, please remember all of the hard work and dedication to your academics all school year. Now is the time to show what you have learned. Parents mark your calendar for these dates:
Friday, May 26th - 5th Grade Science EOG
Wednesday, May 31, 2023 - Reading EOG
Thursday, June 1, 2023 - Math EOG
Monday, May 22, 2023 at 10:00 am - AWARDS DAY! Parents and Guardians you are invited to come and celebrate your child’s success in the Multipurpose Room.
Monday, May 29, 2023 is Memorial Day and all schools will be closed.
Wednesday, May 31, 2023 will be a 2:00 pm Early Release Day and also the WCS GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY AT 4:00 pm at the former Pines Elementary School Site.
Read at least 40 minutes a day with your child or children and have them read to you. Ask them to explain to you what they have read for comprehension and understanding. Have them share with you each day what they have learned in school in each subject. It is very important to be in school each day from the beginning to the end to receive instruction. Students who ride the School Bus to stay in their assigned seat, put on their seatbelt until it is time for them to exit the bus and to use their inside voice. Parents and Guardians, please encourage your child to be on their best behavior in school and on the school bus. When students are out of school for sickness or appointments, and ect. please send a note to school. Please continue to be a CHAMPION in the lives of others everyday. Thank you and enjoy the remainder of your evening. GO AND GROW TIGER CUBS!!

15 de mayo de 2023 - 25 de mayo de 2023: los estudiantes de jardín de infantes a tercer grado tomarán la evaluación mClass Dibels 8. Los padres y tutores deben asegurarse de que estos estudiantes descansen bien antes de las fechas de los exámenes y que estén en la escuela y listos para los exámenes.
Martes, 16 de mayo de 2023 - 5:30 p. m. - Noche de EOG (3.° a 5.°) - Se invita a los estudiantes y padres a sus salones de clases para discutir aspectos específicos, estrategias y preguntas de práctica de EOG.
Además, los SERVICIOS DE SALUD BASADOS EN LA ESCUELA AGAPE estarán en el campus para las personas que se inscribieron en los servicios.
MAKO Medical continuará viniendo al campus los miércoles para las pruebas de COVID. Todavía estás a tiempo de darte de alta si necesitas este servicio.
Viernes, 19 de mayo de 2023 - 6:00 p. m. - 8:00 p. m. - CES será el anfitrión de “UNA NOCHE PARA RECORDAR” LA NOCHE FAMILIAR. Ven y tengamos una noche de diversión y compañerismo.
Estudiantes, mientras nos preparamos para tomar las evaluaciones de fin de grado de EOG, recuerden todo el arduo trabajo y la dedicación a sus estudios académicos durante todo el año escolar. Ahora es el momento de mostrar lo que has aprendido. Padres, marquen en su calendario estas fechas:

Lunes 22 de mayo de 2023 a las 10:00 am - ¡DÍA DE PREMIOS! Padres y tutores, están invitados a venir y celebrar el éxito de su hijo en el Salón de usos múltiples.
El lunes 29 de mayo de 2023 es el Día de los Caídos y todas las escuelas estarán cerradas.
El miércoles 31 de mayo de 2023 será un Día de Salida Temprano a las 2:00 p. m. y también la CEREMONIA DE INMOVILIZACIÓN DE WCS A LAS 4:00 p. m. en el sitio de la antigua Escuela Primaria Pines.
Lea por lo menos 40 minutos al día con su hijo o hijos y pídales que le lean. Pídales que le expliquen lo que han leído para la comprensión y comprensión. Pídales que compartan con usted cada día lo que han aprendido en la escuela en cada materia. Es muy importante estar en la escuela todos los días desde el principio hasta el final para recibir instrucción.
