🎉 Today, WCHS Junior Tyzhae Williams received the incredible news that he has been accepted into NC Governor's School! 🌟 Surrounded by his school Admin team, Tyzhae had the honor of receiving the news in person from WCS CAO. Tyzhae will have the opportunity this summer to reside on the campus of Meredith College in Raleigh, NC, while participating in the Natural Science Governor's School program. Notably, Tyzhae is the first male student from Washington County School District to represent the district at this prestigious event. His acceptance is the culmination of a rigorous application process, which included writing samples, letters of reference from school staff, and an in-person interview at the district office. Tyzhae's selection from over 1,900 applications across the state is a testament to his exceptional talent and dedication. A huge thank you to WCS for sponsoring his attendance ($600).
