WCECHS WEEKLY ANNOUNCEMENTS 8-21-2022

This Wednesday 8/24  is a High School Early Release day. It will be a regular day for BCCC classes.

Parents, we are starting our 3rdweek of school and we are off to a good start.  However, we do have some areas for improvement. We are having an issue with cell phones this year. The school policy is that students are allowed to have cell phones on campus however they must not be used during instructional time. Students are allowed to use them between classes, breakfast, lunch, before school, and after school. This week I will begin enforcing this rule. If a student has their phone out in class then it will be taken and the parent will be contacted. The parent will have the option of having it returned to the student at the end of the day or coming to school and picking it up. On the second infraction, the parent will have to come to school for a conference. There will be disciplinary consequences for additional infractions.

Students and Parents, please make sure you review the WCS attendance policy that was included in your back-to-school paperwork. Teachers will make contact with the parent after the second absence. We will be following this attendance policy so make sure you come to school every day.

BCCC students who are taking Spanish… If you need a textbook then reach out to Mrs. Rasonabe. They will be available for pick up on Tuesday. All students who are taking BCCC classes. I need you to be 100% certain that you have completed your introductory assignment for your college classes. If this has not been done then you will be dropped from the class and we are not allowed to reenroll you. Please take a moment this evening and make sure you are up to date. Parents, you can have your student open their BCCC blackboard and there you can view the status of all of their college grades.

For students who are taking High School classes, progress reports will be sent home on Wednesday for all classes. I will begin talking with students who have grades of a C or below about staying for tutoring. Please make sure you are up to date on all of your work.
